Beansmith Coffee: Brazil Sertaozinho Bourbon May 30 2014
We don't announce every new coffee that arrives, only those we feel are extra special. This new offerring from Brazil comes from the Sertaozinho farm in the Mogiana region in the state of Minas Gerais. Every step from planting to drying is all done by hand. This process allows for a selective harvest by only hand-picking the ripe cherries. This farm has had recent successes in Brazil's Cup of Excellence but has been producing coffee since 1948. We highly recommend this tasty natural process bourbon varietal.
The video below is from nearby Fazenda Recreio and is an example of how coffees is processed in this region.
